just moved over to the eclipse. great key travel, backlight is great and good px's at scan. only slight complaint is that the F keys could be a little bigger, but i've got used to that. eclipse 2 is coming out in a choice of light colours if you don't like blue...

One qustion that could be very important is your preference on whether you like long travel keyboards with a definate clunk, or ones with short travel, more like laptop keyboards.

I prefer the first so having tried quite a few newer keboads I have ended up with some antiquated beige IBM monstrosity and love it. But I know some people hate that type.

I prefer long travel, but not clunking or clicking. Definately prefer a heavy keypress as well if possible. Best 'feel' I've had was actually a cherry keyboard I think.

I hit the keys pretty hard and light or clicking keyboards both make a racket and shock my fingers.

I've not quite got an ancient keyboard, but it's in the same style - a KeyTronics KT2001 (http://www.keytronic.com/home/produc...uro_kt2001.htm) which I found at a car-boot. I absolutely love it, all the keys are cushioned - in fact I bought another one to replace a MS Internet keyboard a my workplace.

Fair enough it's got no flashy extras of the sort, but at least it is comfortable to type on!

PS. just noticed that there's one or two cheap keytronics keyboards on eBay - don't worry it's not me selling them!

I picked a Advent slim multimeadia keyboard from pc world for £19.99 yesterday quite chuffed as it fits in nice with the silver case with it's brushed aluminium effect and all the blue lights like on the zalman fan and case power button.
    Rhyth is selling:
Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di ll LD Aspherical (IF) £230 +pp
    Canon 50mm 1.8 II £50 +pp
    Proven good copies.

Z boards are ok, i have one, but to be honest they arent that great, they are just a good idea but they feel very... plasticy and cheap, however, take a look at the new one http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=887 cherry keyboards use switch technology as opposed to membrane, that might be something to think about when deciding
