    Blasphemy! Handy thing about them in schools is that the OS (RISC OS) was stored on a ROM, so that the kids couldn't tamper with it.

    Much better response! I wish they had been more successful, although one part that I forget the name of is still going strong (the bit that designs processors I think).

    Thats probably what annoyed me.

    I remember getting a win95 machine in year 6. I was the one that taught the teachers to play that wicked skiing game.

    The Acorns are brilliant (they live on). Very stable, quick just everything about them was is great.

    Also the OS was (I heard) written in several languages taking solid stable bits from each.
