okay if you overclock get the 800mhz cas 4 xms2 if you get corsair, it actually works at 1066mhz cas 5, though you have to up the voltage. Also the price of it is expensive at the moment.
If you aren't overclocking then value select 533mhz or 667 will do fine (ensures you of a fsb @ 333mhz if everything else lets you).
Whatever you do though dont get generic (as in real no name stuff).... its rubbish lol
If your trying to save money, going C2D and DDR2 is NOT the way.
Maybe in 2 months time if you can wait that long but RAM prices and decent S775 board prices are anything but bargain items currently....

maybe he could get some value selct 1gb and use it as a stopgap measure for now, perhaps?
TBH this upgrade wont be happening for a good few months anyway, considering I have less than £100 in the bank, so maybe its worth waiting.
