what is it your after?
why not go for a reputable retailer, safe than sorry..
The problem is that the S939 X2s are pretty much discontinued - it's all AM2 now on the AMD front, so retailers are thin on the ground. That said, according to Companies House, they've been in business since 2004 ( LINKY ), and their domain's been registered since 2003 ( LINKY ), so they do actually exist and have been in business for a couple of years at least.
Holden, I'm trying to track down a socket 939 4400+ which the good people of this forum have persuaded me to purchase
Unfortunatley very few etailers seem to have this chip in stock any more. Mr Ed pointed out that computerplanet have some 4400s still in stock and a quick froogle seems to leave them as the best choice. I have left a query in the scan forums on whether they'll be getting more stock in but I've had no reply so far.
Nichomach thanks for checking them out, very much appreciated.
I'll see what scan have to say and if they wont have any more in stock or I can't find any other better known and trusted stockist then it looks like i'll be buying from those guys.
You're very welcome - and I hope it works out .
overclockers.co.uk have them in stock but they are £176+delivery
Yeah after a mate received a 2nd hand motherboard instead of the brand new one he purchased and had to get trading standards on them after they laughed him off i'm inclined to agree about ocuk.
So it looks like eclipse-computers or computerplanet. Any ideas which may be better or do they seem pretty much the same?
I've tried ordering a few bits from eclipse before but their stock system was worse that Scans and they didn't actually have the items - so beware and check with them before relying on them.
