Yeah, i think i'm just gonna ovclock it up to maybe 2000+ speeds by fsb. ANd i've searched all over for reviews about the heatsinc i bought, and well i have found that some places got really good reviews and others got crappy ones. one of the sites i was readign about it puts it in the performance range of the MX-462 from swiftec.

Buy the cheapest, quietest one you can find - that £10 ebuyer one for expample that Zak had found, perhaps. Its not worth throwing any money at an old palomino as a stock fan is still not going to be much more than a 10% difference over a £50 one.

Peeps used to spend more on them when a) the relative cost of the chip was greater and b) when there was more of a chance you could re-use the fan on onother sockat A processor later.
