Doesn't yours have the restore partition anyway? I paid the extra fiver for the Windows CD with my 630m, going to wipe it clean with that very soon and free up the space consumed by the restore partition. Also means it doesn't re-install all the trial crap, which the partition does.

Restore partition? the hidden one which I took a ghost image of and swiftly deleted you mean?

I did order the CDs but they weren't included and I wasn't billed for them (website screwup me thinks) but a quick call to India and they were shipped from Germany of all places

Just means if I ever go to sell it I can put the software back on exactly as it arrived to me - so it theoretically should be as good as new.

I'm not sure what you mean by the partition reinstalls all of the crap - as far as I'm aware you need to run the rebuild disk to do so, and I don't intend using them (they've been safely stored out of the reach of small children in the loft )

No, monitor not included on Dell Outlet, but some surprisingly big discounts offered on them if you add them to the shopping basket. I got the 20" ultrasharp monitor for £218, which is normally £350, and the basic 19" was available for £109.
