What is the best PCI-E Graphics card for under £200?
MSI Geforce 7900GT 256mb 256bit Dual PCI-E
been looking at that, comes in at just over £200...
I can probably stretch a bit over £200!
Thanks.

£200 for a 79gt is way too much, a few weeks ago MSI 7900GTO 512MB could have been had for 170/180. Personally I would not be dropping £200+ on a card at the moment
7900gs scan 110/115 might be worth a look
ebuyer had a gecube X1950PRO 127
Asus Radeon X1950Pro

256MB Sapphire Radeon X1950Pro

£170 Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256MB GDDR3

Yeah, GTO is way overpriced now(since you can get new GTX for 245) I'd personally look for either 512MB version of X1900XT/X1950PRO or 256MB version of X1950XT for that price. Or wait a little longer until budget range 8xxx series card from nvidia start to show up on the market next year.
Best under 200 are currently :
Geforce 7900GTO 512mb
ATI X1950XT 256mb
This one is also quite good, it's 7900GT but comes with 512MB memory and I heard it overclocks well(can reach GTX performance so as I heard) And it got huge price cut recently, once this card cost around 250. Not bad I think.

But it's not as good as the GTO and yet costs more?
I would also be waiting until r600/nvidia refresh, but if they start giving away 1900/50 cards then I might take a punt. ATI X1950XT 256mb best price I can find in the "other place" £152 anywhere else beats them
What about the 7950gt?

yeah but you were talking about the 7900gt, I'm talking about the 7950.

I know, my reply is identical It's still more expensive yet not as fast, compared to the 7900GTO.
well i can only see 7900 GTO's available for 220 quid (if they're in stock) whilst you can get the 7950 GT for as low as 180.

erk.. I'm out of date then. They used to be as little as £165-185.
i'm guessing the overclocking crew have sent its demand through the roof and price with it.

I have to say that my X1950 Pro is performing wonders for me. I decided to get something to tide me over until DX10 becomes mainstream so decided no point spending more than £130.
