Buying from USA - UK Warranty?

Got a question about Intel Warranty.

I'm thinking of getting a Xeon 3060 sent over from a mate's mate in the States as there are none in stock in the UK and the warranty is kinda important to me.

Is there any chance that Intel UK would honour a US chip's wawrranty, or is there a way I could get around it? Does the serial number or other codes on the chip identify it as a US chip?

Any info would be much apprecaited.

You could call a UK supplier (eg: ebuyer, scan etc) and say your buying some parts for a mate in the US, would the UK warrenty still be valid in the states? then just go from that, in theory it will be the same either way.

I just got an E6700 from the States.... CPUs are the least likely bit to need warrenty return probably.

You can always post it back to your mate for return if necessary....
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
