    P5B Deluxe WiFi-Ap SoundMAX

I installed SoundMAX , but the sound amplitude varies when I play music. I then discovered that I must use at least 4-channel speakers, and I have only two treble speakers that comments to a subwoofer.

Can I get the internal sound on the mobo to work without SoundMAX? Or is there something I can do with my speaker setup to get SoundMAX to work?

    Grateful for tips.

Deperate for music, I uninstalled SoundMAX (which provides the drivers for ASUS mobo internal sound app), and removed every trace of it that I could find in the registry (using RegOrganizer), and then, I reinstalled updated drivers from the AUS website. Now, the music plays right.

    Regards,

Sorted then hopefully. It seems generally wise to check for chipset driver updates even with a new motherboard as the CDs that get packaged are often out of date by the time the Motherboard is bought.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Yes, you are right. In fact, I had the updates unpacked in a folder -- had forgotten to install them :-(
