Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
Another tick next to the mx1000, cant stress enough how good this mouse is. I use it for gamming & browsing in equal measures and havent been disappointed with either.
Bought it for a good £40 and was worried id over spent for a mouse but looking back on it, it was one of the best purchases id made.
Guys (and gals)
Do you think it's important to have one of these fancy curved mice instead of say a standard one like the one below (Logitech V200)

I use a standard optical mouse (I think it's Logitech but branded Sumvision) at the moment.

IMHO if it does what you want and is comfortable, then there's little reason to upgrade. Unless you play FPS religiously then a top notch mouse isn't a good deal.
Personally I like my high-end curvy logitech mice, but I've also got a few cheapies lying around for other PCs (1 budget logitech and a budget MS one) and they do the job. If you're happy with yours (IE it's comfortable, you're not into mega-precision/speed and you have all the buttons you want) then stick with it.
If you do intend to upgrade, then yeah, I'd go for a curvy one. It does fit on my hand nicely, though I guess that's not for everyone.
This is the one I've picked up from PC World (£25 - reserved it online) - Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/hardware...s.aspx?pid=068
I haven't opened it yet, just in case I change my mind.
The other one I was considering was the Microsoft Optical Mouse 2000 (£15, again reserved online)
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/hardware...s.aspx?pid=069
Any opinions?
5000 is similar to the mouse we used to have - same but without the back/forward buttons. IMHO the MX1000 beats it hands down, the MX is much comfier, got a mate at uni who has it and going from my mouse to his is a real step down. It also doesnt have a battery charging terminal so expect to change the batteries every few months with heavy usage.
Mx1000 is also heavier (but not too heavy) and feels much sturdier & solid.
From CNET:
The good: Contoured design for both left and right hands; five customizable buttons; clear optical laser.
The bad: Hard-to-access side buttons; short, three-foot range; plastic is slippery; warranty information is difficult to find.
The bottom line: The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 is a good precision mouse for left-handers, but righties would be better off with a mouse designed for that hand.

Having a read of the MX1000 review on Hexus now.
Am I right in thinking the MS mice/keyboards aren't a patch on the Logitech ones?
In case you haven't figured out from the above I'm now thinking of going for a wireless combo.
ooops - please see http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.p...328#post967328
