Ok so looks like a artic cooler pro 7 and team pc2 6400 cas4 RAM. Does anyone else have any other suggestions for the cooler. What about some of the big lumps out there like the ninja? the mobo I have comes with this extra cooling thinggy for a passive cpu cooler, it is probably rubbish but it's just a thought.

Well I ask similar questions about the cooler (about 2-3 weeks ago), and the general vote went for the arctic.....providing I didn't want to go to the extreme of over clocking. Anyway I've bought it now.
erm sorry I probably took YOUR one, from scan, and I haven't even got a motherboard or cpu yet................

lol I think you actually did! joke
Well I suppose it has given me more time to think about it , I will be overclocking quite a bit cus I have bought a e6300 and not a e6600. So I will need the extra cooling.

Well I know theres is plenty of room around the mobo's socket for a big heat sink, and my case is huge, so there is no way it wouldn't fit, surely?

any of you got any experiences with the arctic 7 and some of the bigger cooling units such as the ninja?

Best of the bunch is the Tuniq Tower 120, they are out of stock just about everywhere ... except at OCUK.

Average about 3-4°C cooler than the next best, closest you'll get to watercooling temps on air.

I know every one asks this but isn't it like almost a kg? would that damage the mobo do you think? cus I am really up for one of those bigger coolers but I don't want to hurt my new commando

From what I can gather, the Tuniq Tower 120 connects like many waterblocks, there is a backplate and topplate with screws and springs.
There are bigger hsf's out their -
