When the case fans are powered from the sockets on the motherboard, they run fine.

When they are powered direct from the PSU though, you start the PC and it beeps at me... then it stops. Then it starts again... Its maybe not bad, but I dont think hard disks would like being started and stopped like that.

I can just plug the fans back into the motherboard, but I would prefer to be able to run them from the PSU directly, without my computer freaking out every time I start it.

Anyone have any insight on this?
