whats the diffrence between
2.4b and 2.4c
price and performance
To be honest,
Price: I have found that the 2.4b costs more than the 2.4c (with some exceptions)
Performance: Depending on what stepping chips you compare, the 2.4c can be overclocked to 3.6 on air, the highest I have seen the 2.4b is 3.3gig.....300mhz may not sound like alot, but its the extra fsb that makes a big difference in performance (esp for games I have found)
C2Q6600 @ 3.15GHz
ThermalTake MiniType90
EVGA 680SLI
4GB OCZ Reaper 1066MHz @ 1000 4,4,4,15
EVGA 8800GTX 768MB
Raptor 150GB
NEC ND4550 16x16 DVD±RW
Coolermaster 850W x3 12V
Antec P180
Custom built by $aunder$
The B comes in 400 or 533 Mhz bus flavours ie memory running at 100Mhz or 133Mhz I think
The C is 800 Mhz ie 200Mhz ram
So you'll be wanting the C then , as pointed out its a prodigious overclocker. I think the 2.6C's are about the same price as the 2.4C's. Think I heard somewhere that they're phasing out the 2.4?
ok cheers guys
