    Spending my money

I just recently got some new parts from friends and close relatives for christmas. Now here are my specs:

    athalon 1800+Palmino(yeah i know)
    Asus A7N8X Del. v2.0
    512(2x256)Crucial 3200 6-3-3-3
    Radeon 8500le 128 ddr(AGP)
    Maxtor 80 gig 7200 rpm 8m cache ATA/133
12xwrite, 8 rewrite, 32 read cd rom (manufacturer is not known)
    32x read cd-rom
    17 inch samsung 750p(old)

As a side note i got my 1800 overclocked up to 1.7 ghz without problems adn without unlocking the multiplier. and i can get my 8500 up to somehwere near 400mhz.

What do you think about my system, and what should i upgrade next?

The question is not necessarily what you should upgrade that we need to know first, the question is what do you do with the computer that it is currently not adequate for. Are you wanting to play games quicker, write applications etc etc.

feed us some information on that and myself and others will be able to give you a bit better informed choice, otherwise you'll find that the general answers will be, Graphics card and Processor need upgrading, pointless if you are just writing applications etc.

    Looking forward to more info

YEah, right now my main computer activity is playing games, well besides just writing reports and such.

If you want to eek out that little bit more performance from your system, you might want to consider tightening those memory timings of yours to something like 5-2-2-2. Also, what's your maximum overclock with the CPU? It's just that my two previous Palomino cored systems were capable of 1.75Ghz and 1.85Ghz.
