    Stalingrad VEF Plane set

Here it is in all its glory

This is the number of that plane type in the 300 missions of this map so keep your eyes peeled for the P11c been as there are only 2 in 300 missions Id like to nail that scalp to the wall

Good news we have a few MK11b Hurris and the LA5 starts to show in small numbers lots of Laggs, lots of Mig 3ud few P40 and various Yaks still gotta lump the 153s and Type 24 i16s for some of the mudmoving. Gonna be running into 109G2s a lot . Cant see the IL2s though

    S!

    Il2s are there

Looks good, i still don't think we've got the planes to go one on one with a well piloted G2 though

I dunno know Knox, the Hurri seems to be good enough for that. Sure, you can't outclimb or dive him, but working in pairs and usings comms you can get the buggers.

Had three VEFs last night, one in MiG3 (wings fell off), one in hurri (killed a 109 and landed and one in Yak1 (flew around wondering where everyone was as my flight had no comms, then landed).

Yeah the Hurri's are a match if you've got someone on comms with you and i imagine the LA5 is aswell but if your on your own there seems to be a distinct OKL advantage, the fact that most vvs pilots seem to desert the objectives for kills doesn't help though

I know, but the lot we flew with last night were there to play the game, NOT just kill hungry mofos. (even with the three re-starts! )

tbh.. in any aeroplane, on your own, you're toast. teamwork is where it's at - no-one ever got away with it solo - look at pilots like Bader - on his own against 3 109s, Lt Cmdr Judd 880sqdn RN - on his own (admittedly against a JU-88)... they both got shot down - and they were superb pilots. No - stick together or you're dead.

Your right tumble, 100%, but there are gonna be times when your gonna be left on your own and however infrequent that is it'd be nice to think you're able to put up a decent fight.

Grrrr, it's given me MIA for one of the missions last night, when I clearly landed, and it didn't give any notice of being captured! I was Robbed! *pout*

You didn't land at an enemy base by any chance?

na, I landed in a field, but there was no capture message or anything, just "MA_Stoo has landed in a field."

    *grumble*

Mind you, best not moan too much or I'll end up sounding like an OKL pilot
