Warhammer Online - Finished. Now with release date.

Seems the devs have said that the game is now finished and could be released now, but as such its not going to be.

    http://www.videogaming247.com/2008/0...d-ship-it-now/

“The game’s finished,” said the developer. “It’s just being polished and cooked.

“We’re in a position now where every day we get to polish it it polishes a little nicer. At some point you say, ‘That’s polished enough now. See you later.’”
So hopefully we'll be seeing this sometime in Sept or early Oct.

Bad wording for an MMO game that will constantly receive patches throughout its lifetime. Still good news that it's not too far away.

That date was posted on the official WAR site in Singapore the other day and then changed back to just plain September.

If it is the 23rd, how long do you think we will with the early entry to the game? Maybe 5 days or so? Still can't register by beta codes yet.

    Re: Warhammer Online - Finished

If you pre-ordered the Collectors Edition (now sold out everywhere, don't even bother trying!) you would have got access to open beta.

As for when open beta will start... dunno. I guess we'll see 4 weeks of open beta, then the early access for those who preordered, so I suppose open beta should be due to start mid-late August.

Please note these are purely best guesses. Beta has been coming along nicely, but there's still work to be done in my eyes.

Presuming you get sent a pre-order pack... which I wasn't Apparently had a second one sent out 2 weeks ago which hasn't arrived either

I think the open beta will be starting in the next couple of weeks though, I don't know if I would play it even if I did have access, would rather not have a character wiped and have to start over again at the end of beta.

I'm not going to put a lot of time into the beta, but it is a good chance to try out the classes that you have been planing on playing. I've got my eye on the black orc.

I'd love to tell you, but NDA prevents me from telling you anything aboout the beta. Why not take a look at one of the many sites with info on the game?

i trust actual players such has yourself more then websites like ign, gamespot etc for opinions of games because countless times these said sites have hyped up games and just end up being rubbish.

Well... have a look at http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page - that should give you an idea about the game. Will you like it? I dunno.
