CoD5 W@W Nazi Zombies: hpw far are you gettings?

Lo dudes, fellow Zombie massacre specialists

SAOFG/Bishops Finger and myself are playing Nazi Zombies on the odd evening, and with one exception where we got to level 12, we're dying most of the time at about Level 9.

So, what's the score in your Nazi Zombie squad? We've only played with 2 people so far, never had 3 or 4. We both prefer to get the first kill fast,grab the rifle off the wall, use it until one of us has enough credit (1000) to lift the sofa off the stairs, and the other has 1500 to get the Trenchgun from upstairs, and then we stay downstairs for one more level while the sofa-moved gets enough credit for a trench gun too.

Then I hold the top of the the stairs, and he covers the other room, with either of us shouting for support when we get overrun.

Why woud ANYONE use a sniper rifle on this game? Or is it useful when there are 4 of you?

I had a short and excellent success with the sawnoff shotgun, with two barrels, up close and personal, and reload is fast, but when you get swamped... its not worth a fart tbh.

Advice, input, and suggestions pls

When we play, the level number is in roman numeral.

you havnt got high enough to go to numbers then

the 1st door you can open to the side room, go in there, turn left and theres a chest on the floor. it uses 900 points to pick a random weapon.

best bets play to lvl 9 then go into that room, you should have a few k each to blow on getting a decent gun

stay in the side room, 2 players keeping the horde at bay that's coming from the main room and 1-2 players keeping tabs on the wall and windows in the side room. that should get your level up.

resist going upstairs as it starts getting a bit manic then.

another tip is to select hand gun when your swapping weapons and swap the handgun for something "larger"

we try to aim for a ray gun and flame-thrower, flame-thrower doesn't run out, but it does overheat !

ok.. we thought we only had one gun each.

Didn't know about random guns in that chest, we used it once, and never again. We went upsatirs for the shotgun, but yes, it gets busy.

And there's only ever two of us so far.

well on a plus side, 2 players = less ai coming to get you, just keep one on the door and the other keeping the side room clear.

Furthest I got with my mates was 19 iirc.
We find that the best tactic is to stay in the first room until about round 5, go upstairs and then immediately downstairs into the room with the random box. Then we have 2 protecting the stairs and the other two doing the windows. Every so often we'll take it in turns to try the random box until we've all got ray guns and another powerful weapon. Then it gets interesting........

Or just for lols we'll open up all the doors and run around in a group. Doesn't work very well but its quite funny one of us falls behind and we all try to save them yelling " No man gets left behind!"

So we're weird, going straight upstairs?

We found it, as a pair, easiest, because that's where the Trench gun is, and thats where the ammo is for it.

But we didn't know about the other weapons.

I think leaving the stairs blocked is the way forward IF you get good weapons.

Do you guys reblock the windows between levels? I try to close half of the downstairs ones off before pegging it back up cover the top window and stair for the next wave, and try to guess the monsters quantity downstairs and grenade them.

I just started playing CoD WAW yesterday, nearly finished the campaign which has been a bit dull so far, but apparently I'm near the end.

well, two players again last night, and that Chest of randomness is a nightmare... seriously

We BOTH got sniper rifles....! Lot of frikkiin use THEY were, so we tried to swap while keeping the hordes at bay, and it was a massacre.

Then we managed a half decent run with LemmingB on a double barrel shotgun, and me on a pumpaction... and they both came from "the chest"

then next game, (hadn't got past level 7 by then) I got a heavy machine gun AND a BAR machine gun, and Lemming got a flame thrower... but that flame thrower is hARD cos they keep coming at ya, and you end up in a door way on fire...

my heavies did a gooood job, andf with two of them reloading was ok cos I just swapped... but I couldn't run anywhere.. lol... was proper slow, and didn't get to him in his hour of need fast enough

Eventually, best round was with him with a heavy and a 6 shot pistol (no idea what it weas but he was RAVING about "the powa" of it, so maybe a 44 magnum?) an I had a trench gun and a flame thrower.

I did get the ray gun once, and seems a hoot from distance, but only had it for about 30 seconds before dying....

HOW DO YOU GET AMMO FOR THESE WEAPONS? Where is it? Or do you need a new random weapon?

Zak - new random weapon, or collect one of the full ammo things that certain zombies drop when they die...

I love Zombie Nazis! I can't wait to get broadband again so I can play it with you lot online!

I usually get to level nine on my own but the best I've gotten to is level thirteen.

My tactic is to get the Kar 98 for $200 immediately, get past the first round which leaves you with around $650 you can get the M1A1 Carbine for $650 then save up $1000 to open up the upstairs, I usually only move the sofa from the stairs when I've cleared the fourth round.

When I get upstairs, I tend to camp in the corner overlooking the front of the house after I've gotten the Trench Gun and the BAR
