    Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 keypad problem again?

    Well first of all I have to take my hat off to the guys at Infinity Ward because as predicted they have done a spectacular job at COD MDW#2 but yet again as with COD4 MDW there was a problem with bindings with the Key Pad... being a gamer I hate using the standard WSAD because it sucks and prefer to use the keypad for all my moves and commands. As with COD4 MDW I had to bind all my own keys which is one a pain in the butt because it's time consuming and Frankly really annoying.

    Okay I need to make something abundantly clear, if you custom bind your keys within the game and when you select example below comes up as shown then binds all keys you want because believe me it is easier to bind looking at what you have selected than searching for the correct binding.

    UP = 8
    DOWN = 5
    LEFT = 4
    RIGHT = 6
    CROUCH = 7
    JUMP = 9

    I have created a simple guide to bind your keys to your keypad hope it helps.

    Code:
    KEY NAME
    / - KP_SLASH
    * - *
    - - KP_MINUS
    + - KP_PLUS
    ENTER - KP_ENTER

    7 - KP_HOME
    8 - KP_UPARROW
    9 - KP_PGUP
    + - KP_PLUS
    4 - KP_LEFTARROW
    5 - KP_5
    6 - KP_RIGHTARROW
    1 - KP_END
    2 - KP_DOWNARROW
    3 - KP_PGDN
    0 - KP_INS
    . - KP_DEL
    If anybody is having the same problem then here are the binds I have done of cause you can do your own to wherever you want this is just a guide for you. STEAM is a 32-Bit application therefore it will be installed in Program Files on 32-Bit and Program Files (86) on 64-Bit.

    SAVE condig.cfg before making changes

    Windows Vista 31-Bit Start>Computer>[Whatever you called your main HDD]>Program Files>Steam>SteamApps>Common>call of duty modern day warfare 2>Players>config.cfg open in WordPad or NotePad

    Windows Vista 64-Bit Start>Computer>[Whatever you called your main HDD]>Program Files (86)> Steam>SteamApps>Common>call of duty modern day warfare 2>Players>config.cfg

    Windows 7 32-Bit Start>Computer>[Whatever you called your main HDD]>Program Files>Steam>SteamApps>Common>call of duty modern day warfare 2>Players>config.cfg open in WordPad or NotePad

    Windows 7 64-Bit Start>Computer>[Whatever you called your main HDD]>Program Files (86)> Steam>SteamApps>Common>call of duty modern day warfare 2>Players>config.cfg open in WordPad or NotePad

    This is what I binded my keypad to you can modify this to whatever you want, delete the binding keys and then just copy and paste into the config.cfg
    Code:
    // generated by Infinity Ward, do not modify
    unbindall
    bind TAB "+scores"
    bind ESCAPE "togglemenu"
    bind 1 "weapnext"
    bind 2 "weapnext"
    bind 4 "+actionslot 4"
    bind 5 "+actionslot 2"
    bind ` "toggleconsole"
    bind E "+melee"
    bind F "+activate"
    bind N "+actionslot 1"
    bind Q "+smoke"
    bind R "+reload"
    bind ~ "toggleconsole"
    bind PAUSE "pause"
    bind CTRL "toggleprone"
    bind SHIFT "+breath_sprint"
    bind INS "+stance"
    bind DEL "+prone"
    bind PGDN "+breath_sprint"
    bind PGUP "+sprint"
    bind HOME "+movedown"
    bind END "toggleprone"
    bind KP_HOME "togglecrouch"
    bind KP_UPARROW "+forward"
    bind KP_PGUP "+gostand"
    bind KP_LEFTARROW "+moveleft"
    bind KP_5 "+back"
    bind KP_RIGHTARROW "+moveright"
    bind KP_PGDN "+holdbreath"
    bind KP_ENTER "+smoke"
    bind KP_INS "+speed_throw"
    bind KP_DEL "+actionslot 3"
    bind KP_SLASH "+reload"
    bind KP_MINUS "+actionslot 1"
    bind KP_PLUS "+frag"
    bind KP_STAR "+activate"
    bind MOUSE1 "+attack"
    bind MOUSE2 "+toggleads_throw"
    bind MOUSE4 "+melee"
    Hope this helps because again sorry forthe moan but as with COD4 MDW everybody was complaining about the fact you could not bind the keypad keys within the game which again the second time around Infinity Ward has done it again... You would think they would have learned from the first game, I cannot believe they done it again.

    Oh I must say one thing which is totally off the topic, I'm running 5870 with everything on EXTRA and it runs like a dream the detail with the 5870 is just awesome.

    Thanks for that, I was not sure which one to put this in considering it was a Windows game, but thanks for moving it to the correct location.
