They've specificly said they are not using the Skyrim engine as it won't scale to anywhere near the number of characters on screen that they are looking to support in ESO.

They say the game should be playable on a five year old machine, although obviously the better your machine, the better the graphics will look.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

I cannot wait for this game, I'm like grinding my teeth!

If anyone is bored in the meantime, check out Firefall. Great game I've been playing.

The Hero Engine they say they used to demo the game in that article can scale upto 4 threads,I really hope the new engine they use, will do this.

Depends on the version and how much they tweak it for their own reasons. We know how well that went for SWTOR! If the dev tweaks too much the hero engine isn't upgradable.

    Re: Elder Scrolls Online

I still think that the biggest risk for this MMO is the combat system, which wasn't the best in skyrim. Couple this with the business model and an oversaturated genre and I worry if this will make the impact that they are expecting.

    Re: Elder Scrolls Online

I am just afraid of this game being a button bash game like WoW. But the fact that they are making one is already just amaze-ballz for me!
