Just noticed it: http://store.steampowered.com/app/226700/
Metacritic score is 20. Is it really that bad? Made me laugh...
Edit: Now they change the name of the game - http://pcgmedia.com/the-war-z-adopts-new-game-name/

They released it broken, need I say more.
Theirs broken, then their is BROKEN !!!!
This is the game Steam gave refunds for something which is extremely rare and only happens on a rare blue moon. The game was slammed across the board by critics, the micro-tranactions are required to play and are not permanent when you die they die with you. The list is pretty much endless.
Basically, they released a beta as the full game. It came with huge bugs which made it unplayable for most of the buyers. They then pulled it after many complaints over a period of a week or so.
When he says broken he means really broken and half finished, not a few bugs, we are talking a whole load of features that where missing, basically they released a beta as a final game.
Ontop of that there's additional microtransactions, including if you don't want to wait a full hour before you can respawn then you have to spend real money to do it.
ps they didn't pull it steam did after a large number of complaints.

Haha..... So you guys are really saying the released an Alpha!? A Beta is when you think the game is finished, bar a few features maybe, but you're just trying to discover and iron out the last few bugs. I had heard bad stuff about this game. But yeh, Steam giving refunds... wow... I take your words for it!!
Well, I guess it depends whether you mean a developer's beta, or the modern "public beta", which is as you say virtually a finished game. Despite having the same name, I don't think there's much in common between them.
There was a huge outcry when this was released, perhaps bigger than any other release I've ever known - certainly in relation to the quantity and severity of bugs.
Whats upsetting is that this is the top seller on steam over The Witcher 2, or even the Kerbal Space Program.
Top seller as in recently, or has actually sold more copies over all?
Yeh I was sorta tempted for such a low price. But then I already have the option of playing DayZ. Which I don't really dig much anyway. If this is an even worse version of it then...
When I first saw WarZ which was back in 2011 I think. I instantly thought DAYZ RIPOFF! But I remember there supposedly being some evidence that it had been in development, or at least some sites/facebook pages had been registered before DayZ was announced. Though I think the evidence was fairly questionable...
I was really tempted by this, but so happy I didn't pick it up. Those who did very quickly told me how infuriating the game still is!
