I've been playing this for a while now, and it reminds me quite a bit of No Man's Sky (in terms of my own experiences). I bought both games a few weeks after release, having taken some time to look at reviews and experiences, and in both cases I was seeking a game in which I could freely explore an open world and not too concerned about much more than that.
Both games have had a lot of hate, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it but I can definitely appreciate that it's nothing like any of the previous Fallout games. I suppose it's something that did appeal to me and I don't regret having purchased (the fact it was sub-£10 probably helped there, though). This culture of selling and buying games on 'pre-order' really needs to stop, in my opinion, then people would be ordering products they fully understood and there'd be less disappointment all round!
