I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
I have just updated the available list. If you want to come you shoule be ok 17-18+ as others can help. Looks like we can have two groups going in.
We need a Healer and Reserector too - anyone?
They are all here:Originally Posted by Stoo

Six quests are found outside the Wailing Caverns, and the last one can be obtained inside. The quests are:
From Ratchet:
Smart Drinks
Trouble at the Docks
From Thunder Bluff:
Serpentbloom
Leaders of the Fang
From right outside the Wailing Caverns:
Deviate Hides
Deviate Eradication
Cool, got all the quests now, well, apart from the last two, but I can get those before I go in

Well that was fun for the first hour....
and then... BANG they all singled the weaker characters out while the front men ran in and sliced and diced and one by one we fell ( dead... not off the chasm.. thats later ain't it fellow lemmings... oops I mean folks )
I was sooooo close into getting the 2nd crystal as well...
Damn elite monsters....
oh and to Eru and spinx and lugash
Did you have a good mix of classes? e.g. a tank (warrior), healer (shaman/driud/priest), and damage dealer(mage/rogue)?

We did but, for example, I was the warrior and I'm only lvl19. I was useless as a tank and once the elites latched onto me, unless there were others around, I was a gonner Several times, after the resurrector left, I died just getting back to the group after resurrection. The beasts don't lose their aggro, so once they had you, they followed until you died.Originally Posted by Mblaster
By the time we called it a day, I had lost all my armour, as had Corpsemaker and we were sitting ducks, just couldn't sustain any attacks. I've never done this instance before, but I found it very hard. I'm gonna level up a few times before doing it again. I felt like the weakest link (judging by the number of times I died and they had to wait for me to get back, I probably was).
Anyway, it was fun to start with but then the endless attacks by ectoplasms took their toll and it was a lot less fun.
It was either you or the healers that were the weakest link if you kept dieing

Well all went pretty well considering it was our first attempt at an organised outing at this level. Some points to improve would be:
- Have one puller (this was me last night) to get the beast coming one at a time. This is deffo important when it gets harder.
- If we are fighting more than one beast we ALL need to hit the same beast. The only exception from this is if the healer needs help.
- We all need to make sure we can stay online till the end if we put our name down.
- Turn up ready at the time stated
- Stick together
- Don't get frustrated if it's not goihng well. Teamwork needs to be worked at and will take time.
- Have fun
BTW how did the 2nd group go with Bertie? some people had difficulty geting into it i hear? If you did'nt there is another group going tonight again.

Wailing Caverns isn't EASY, its not meant to be. Thats why instances are so much fun imo. Doing this with Mattak (LVL26), Lummie(lvl24), pug(lvl24), repas(lvl16) and one other (lvl18) a few weeks back was awesome.
The lvl 24 giant tree thing is immense and was hitting for 100+ damage a time, needed all help to keep me alive. Wailing caverns can't be rushed if you want to experience all the cool stuff that isn't "quests" as such. Much like killing the murloc at the very end, its not a core quest but leads onto other ones.
I personally wouldn't want to do Wailing Caverns in anything under 3hrs. Something i'll do later this week, with my lvl 29 warrior. YES far too advanced on paper, but in practise it means it will allow some lower level people to come along and enjoy the fun

I have a couple of quests to do , i could be a puller.
WoW
Ravenblood - lvl 56 Troll Hunter - Mining/Eng
Dumac - lvl 18 Druid - Herb/Alc
I never thought it would be EASY, but I never imagined I would feel SO out of my depth.Originally Posted by TiG
We never got to a giant tree thing, the group had fallen apart by then.
I was quite prepared to do the time but at the end it was just me and ERU. With the best will in the world, we couldn't continue.
I was thinking of trying to solo Wailing Caverns on my rogue just for fun but in the end I couldn't be bothered, I'd rather run around Scarlet Monestry pcikpocketing all the people

What time tonight peeps?
