Thx Mulluk for the Quest booting in RFC :(

Cheers for booting me from RFC just now Mulluk. Why?

Being under the impression we were all too high level for items to be of use.
"I said i was in there to just loot" <pressed enter>
booted from quest!!!! <no warning or comment>
    "and help you guys"<pressed enter>
I said striaght after (when people said they might use stuff) "that i would NOT loot at all"
Seems i didnt even get the chance to say this either.

I have helped people out since day one of buying WoW in Hexus and am in short fully f*** off with this. Being a gaming admin this is just not cricket to another GUILD member. I wasnt even heard out which is what you would at least do to a stranger!!! I pm'ed you and you didnt bother to respond.
What makes this even more annoying is that i have been treated badly by member before this too.

ERU - We are sorting this out now, Mullok (Tig) will be finished in Rage Fire soon and this matter will be resolved.

Rest assured we are trying to rectify this...

I obviously don't see this like that Eru, and as this is the first time anything like this has happened in the guild where i felt that we've had actions that i was not expecting considering the nature of hexus. I should have stopped all of us going through to explain to you why i was unhappy.

From my point of view, whenever i go into any instance, i follow a simple rule, that we go in and people have the common courtesy that they roll on items that are use to them. So we had two cloth wearers, 2 leather wearers and 1 mail wearer. With this balance it is quite nice for cloth wearers to roll on cloth, leather to wear on leather and mail to roll on mail. This spreads out the loot nice and evenly.

I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask that, and your response was i'm just in it for the ££'s. I admit that was like a red rag to a bull and i wasn't going to have that kind of selfish attitude rolling on every item was not acceptable, you had no quests to do and was just doing it for the money.

I apologise for the manner in which i did that, but i will simply suggest that if you wish to do that you may wish to ask to do that instead of just thinking you can.

And as for PMing me i completely refute that, i sent many whisper messages in game to check if you wanted to discuss the situation.

The whole point of this guild is to help people, i don't see how you "helping" people involved rolling on every green item.

That said i was wrong to remove you from the group so quickly without explaining myself. Lesson has been learnt, i will make it clear on joining the group how loot is distributed from now on.

    No hard feelings

I can agree that yes, in a way its nice to ask before looting.......... perhaps in future we can avoid situations like this on pre-arranged quests by chucking a note in the forums of any looting rules

If i remember, we had a lvl 20, 23, 20, 18 and a lvl 24, out of all the green items we picked up, i doubt any of us used anything. Im sure that if had ERU won a Magic Wand, he would of given it over if asked If we are only going to sell them items on, does it matter who gets these items?

(one of the good things about being a hunter i can use most weapons)

Perhaps we need specific "Hexus Looting rules"

Whats the problem with someone going in it for the money? He's helping the lower players out in the place - and all the items dropped are worth money.

Frankly I think you were being extremely greedy, and Id rather be in a guild where arrogant players like you are not around. Eru did nothing wrong, and was upfront.

At the end of the day, its a game - its not real life - and perhaps if your getting angry and annoyed with players, then your spending too much time playing it (by your signature, id say that definetly is the case).

I think this discussion should really be over, Both of you have valid points but from now on I think we have established that looting should be discussed prior to starting any quest(s) of this type.

How much time players do or do not play is irrelevant.

This thread should really be closed as its not adding anything usefull now.
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
    But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
    I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

I wasn't there and I can't comment on what happened but in general it is considered greedy for people to roll on items they cannot/will not use, so leatherwears should only roll on leather etc.

I see no reason why someone should not be able to join the group if he was looting fairly (assuming there was spare spaces), but if he was rolling on all items after being asked to stop then the leader has every right to kick him.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

    Need before Greed

Sorry if this seems a little out of context but, under the looting rules found at the party leader interface there is a need before greed option. I only discovered this last night in WC and did not have time to trial it, niether do I have the book handy so what exactly does this rule implement? Thanx

Having been in a group with one player who was only out to loot, I can say it does take some of the fun out of it.

I think all we should take away from this, instead of bad feeling towards each other, is the lesson that a looting policy should be discussed before the adventuring starts!

Simple solution would be to use the "round robin" setting so it alternates through the group and everyone gets a chance in looting at least once

As for getting an item you cannot really use, if I got some weapon that I cannot use then I gladly say "anyone want [WEAPON] before I flog it."

A group-loot bag would be good so at the end of any instance the loot could be displayed in its entirety, it could then be divided between the players appropriately by the leader. Players can then roll on items desired by more than one player. Any player that may have left during the instance for any reason could receive what’s left to them in there mailbox like AH. At the end of an instance it would not take long to complete this Loot Divvy which can actually be done anyway via the trade option as-long as everyone doesn’t feel the need to run off straight after. Maybe a good update would be if a player receives an item they cannot use or is not wanted the item could then be put up for trade and rolled on or dual over ( same lvl players only ) by selected players who each desire it for valid reasons.

    Just a thought.

why should the thread be closed? It angers me that people wont discuss things when a problem exists and want to sweep it under the carpet

Anyway, I think the fact he hasnt responded to what I said proves he plays the game too much, playing 5 or 6 full days out of 29 would make anyone uptight.

Derth - Tig has responded and chatted to ERU and as far as I know this has been sorted out. It is not being swept under the carpet it has been dealt with.

The only reason people are asking for the thread to be closed is that the matter has been sorted and there is no need to keep dragging it up.

    Thank you,
    Leon

derthballs, any more insults directed at members and you will be suspended or banned. If you can't make your point without insulting people don't bother trying to make your point. This goes for anyone else who decides to respond to this thread (or any other thread in the forums). The two main people in this have managed to put their points across in a civilised manner, it doesn't need someone else sticking their oar in.

    Move along please

Thor myself and allen has agreed this thread should be stopped (Closed), I'll will happily answer any specific questions people have in game or via hexus PM.

As with the comments from others the general impression of the game is roll on what you can wear, its fair, doesn't need any governing and ultimately is much more organised.

I will speak to Eru again to check he is okay and hopefully we can get back to peaceful hexus guild life.

    Cheers
