Awesome games to play on a less-than-stellar PC

Getting hold of good components is hard at the moment, and even when not, the price of the latest and greatest is pretty steep. But that hasn't suddenly caused games that run on yesterday's computers to stop working! What has everyone else been playing that's still available to buy? Some of my recommendations are below, which I think all look amazing despite not needing a beefy GPU:

    Pillars of Eternity
A modern take on the old infinity engine style of games (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale). Beautiful to look at, huge, content packed RPG with a great storyline. Runs on just about any operating system, GPU from Radeon HD 4850 or NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT upwards.

    Hyper Light Drifter
Action/arcade-adventure RPG in gorgeous 16-bit pixel style. Any GPU with 512mb VRAM will do.

    The King Of Fighters XIII
Peak of 2D vs fighting games. GeForce 9500 GT, VRAM: 256MB and up

    Disco Elysium
Haven't started this yet, but it's a massively well-reviewed detective/RPG. Any DX11 capable GPU (including integrated) with 512mb VRAM.

    Hades
Rogue-like dungeon crawler. Recently won a bunch of awards. GPU of entry? Anything DX10 with 1GB VRAM

    Valheim

Valheim! Its like Minecraft, but prettier and full of Norse mythology.

    I have a Linux rig with a Core i5 10400 and a GTX960 and it didn't run too badly!!

This is before the new update which improved terrain performance.

    Factorio

A 2D top down building game. You crash on an alien world, and essentially have to build yourself off it. Incredibly addictive, and doesn't require a super fast GPU either. Might need a better CPU though.

    Fallout New Vegas

Needs no explanation! I have run it on Intel UHD620 laptop graphics, and modded under Linux on the Core i5 10400/GTX960 rig. Even got Vortex mod manager to work so looks prettier than normal.

    Cloudpunk!
It's a lovely relaxing game with decent voice acting and a great story very well suited to the genre.
They're also soon to release a DLC expansion, that is basically big enough to be a complete sequel!

    For my low powered machine (i3 7100T w/ HD630) I was playing these :

    HL2
    Portal 1/2
    Fallout:NV
    Minecraft (!)

HL2/Portal play amazingly well on low spec machines and although I imagine most people have already played through them but if not then well worth it.

This looks very Syndicate/Syndicate Wars and a bit of Stellaris, videos look good.
I was hoping the hardware shortage situation would be finishing by now. I'll have to wait a while longer to be able to play these things.
    Back to Gog for now

Loving the look of Disco Elysium as well.
