Counter Strike 2 confirmed

After several teasers & rumours CS2 is confirmed. Aiming for a Summer release

Along with the first Team Fortress, the original CS was the game that fully transitioned my gaming style from Single & LAN games to online multiplayer.
I enjoyed every minute of CS 1.x & CS Source. Unfortunately CS:GO has not been for me.

Some good news though, if you own CS:GO it will be a free upgrade.

"Sub-tick updates are the heart of Counter-Strike 2. Previously, the server only evaluated the world in discrete time intervals (called ticks). Thanks to Counter-Strike 2’s sub-tick update architecture, servers know the exact instant that motion starts, a shot is fired, or a ‘nade is thrown. As a result, regardless of tick rate, your moving and shooting will be equally responsive and your grenades will always land the same way."

Yeah that wouldnt be a bad shout. Enjoyed TF2, but preferred TF Classic.
They'll have to get back their CS2 development costs first so it would be at least a couple more years yet at a guess

Not sure the shooting/blowing away of smoke is 'right' but interesting to see it updated after so long
