    Relic Lays Off 121 Staff

After a few not so great releases, Relic is getting rid of 121 staff.

Having bought the new Company of Heroes 3 I can see why, what a mess that game is, not even going to start on the amount of problems with it. Not sure what Relic has been doing but once they could never put a foot wrong, then came DOW3, AOE4 and now COH3. All sub par

Re: Relic Lays Off 121 Staff

This seems to be common place across the industry, and sadly for a number of years now.
Cyberpunk 2037 and Battlefield 2042 spring to mind.
The mentality these days is to release a game far too early and fix as they go, they could have all gone for the early access model but they all believe they're too good for that.
The idea of developers releasing a completed or polished game in my mind at least is assumed to be over.

Redfall is a perfect example of how developers & publishers just do not care at all anymore. A £70 game that doesn't work and has half the gameworld completely bare. A total mockery to what should be a highly skilled industry.
For me an 80s style game crash feels imminent
