Why do I want to lead Hexus Horde?
I play WoW for fun guys … nothing more. I get excited about doing an instance, it feels great for someone to offer me x20 thick leather to make an item, teamwork in PvP is thrilling and I enjoy helping others with a quest.
Reading the inital thread about disciplining people for their actions I have my own thoughts. I work in a behavioural school and we have pupils who initially refuse to cooperate. The strategy we use to control discipline is called assertive discipline and I see no reason why this can’t work here. In fact it works wonders in my old clan called British Airborne who are now very old and mature. The idea is to promote everything that is good, to praise and encourage achievements and create a fun and friendly atmosphere. I ask the guild not to vote for someone who is reactive and shows frustration and even anger. If this system isn’t working for any given member then perhaps they need another guild where they can settle better.
I am a fun guy who can crack a joke in any situation and this is important. It takes a lot to rattle my cage but I have seen some things within the guild that have frustrated me, why? Because they could have easily been sorted out with various strategies! It is humour alone that will get us through our difficult times and there will be some.

/me turns said megaphone down a bit.
What can I do in the future?
My personal thoughts on the guild are that it DOES NEED a leader.
For us to exist we need to sort out problems via a democratic airing of our members, then the officers to talk about the problem and finally for the Guild leader to make a decision. It’s worth bearing in mind at this point that the last time a monarch of Britain had an extreme view he started a Civil war and was beheaded for it.
I aim to run the guild by catching members being good as much as doing wrong. This involves an exchange of trust!
I have lots of ideas about things we could do including private forums for members, different ways of organising voluntary meets, helping out the lower level people, making Hexus Horde T-Shirts, a Hexus Horde in-game bank for unwanted items, the list goes on. All things we need to talk about. Some of these ideas are going to horrify some people and others who are reading will be thinking ‘oh yes’. We all have different views and opinions.
How this voting should be decided?
We don’t seem to have anyone actually making a decision, so I ask that it is done via a letter to Thor in-game.
We need a time for everyone do to this, so I propose the voting starts this Saturday (i.e. 17.05.05) and finishes the following Saturday. If anyone thinks we should start a week later just post below with your reason and we should be able to move it forward.
If I do get voted in as the Guild Leader it’s not such a scary thought guys n girls, as if I do a crap job I can be removed just as easily as I was voted in.
I honestly know I will do a good job in what is a difficult guild.
Any questions please put on a Stamped Addressed Envelope to ........…
