Ok chaps, listen up!
First off, thank you for all turning up so early this morning, I know flying weather is pretty bad with 10/10 at 300m over the base, wind 190 at 20 knots gusting 30 but visibility is 3k +, so some of us might have to go up today.
Right then, the Friday night fight was a great success, plenty of Marlins in the air and a good furball was had by all.
In discussion with the CO I'm proposing that we look once again to a night for us to get together for some flying and I suggest Friday night. Even after we've all been imbibing of the bitter (or Babycham, in Trig's case) with the weekend to follow we can all stay up later and fly.
Any thoughts? Mid-week sessions are a good idea but I reckon many of us have to work the next day so can't be on late, where as the weekend leaves more opportunities. I think Saturdays will impinge on pilots weekend passes to Moscow, hence Friday nights.
Your thoughts, gentleman?
oh, one more thing... voice comms is now officially ESSENTIAL! Being able to talk in real time greatly improves your chances of a kill and of not being killed. I got two last night, one of which was again down to voice comms. Also, when on CAPs it gives you the extra eyes needed to follow a bogey while others can keep an eye on other bogeys and keep your six clear.
