1.2b and 1.1 together...

As the two aren't compatible, many people aren't having a go with the P51 since they think they won't be able to play online games and easily swap between the two.

I've found a way of having the best of both worlds.

• Create two folders.. one called 1.1, the other called 1.2
• Goto your FB directory..
• Copy files.SFS il2_core.dll and mg_snd.dll into the 1.1 directory.
• Install the 1.2 beta
• Copy the same files into your 1.2 folder.

Job done.

To play 1.2, copy the files from your 1.2 folder into the FB root directory. To play 1.1, copy the files from the 1.1 folder into your FB directory.

Just tried it, worked for me. So now you get the best of both worlds without 2 installs.

It's only those 3 files that are different - the rest of the patch is additions, not overwritten files. Easy peasy.

I spose if you want to play both in Hyperlobby.. you would probably have to repoint HL to the relevant exe ?

Yep.I'll vouch for it... the uninstall of FB doesn't remove the additional patch files anyway, all I did was set up the files like Lowe said and I've just tried both version no probs.
