    Digital Compact Camera

I am looking for a good quality Digital Comapct Camera for under £60. It must be at least 5MP and have its own built-in battery (not a fan of the AA powered camera's)

I found this, which would be perfect if it had its own built-in battery,

Samsung Digimax S500 with Free Batteries and Charg - Misco.co.uk

    So something along those lines.

    Anyone know of any?

    Cheers in advance

    Dan

    Re: Digital Compact Camera

Can you stretch the budget a bit further? I've just got myself a Sony W50 and that's rather nice. There's a couple of issues which are step backward from my old Casio Exilim though.

Firstly, it doesn't come with a dock, but a cable. This means I have no where specifically to store the camera when not in use and have to findle about plugging in cables...annoying

Secondly, the battery has to be removed and put into a purpose supplied charger to charge it. For the love of god why? When can't i just plug the camera into the main like I would my phone, or even better sit my camera on a dock and it charges though that, as well as being able to access all the content.

This I think is poor design, and more clumsy than my 5+ year old Exilim Z3.

However having said that the camera itself is very nice indeed and takes a nice picture (and can record 640x480 VGa movies). Personally on reflection I wish I'd stayed with Casio and bought an Exilim camera. Another plus is the Exilim range use SD cards, which are generally cheaper than Sony's Duo rubbish.

Something like this: Amazon.co.uk: Casio Exilim EX-Z60 Silver Digital Camera [6MP, 3x Optical Zoom] 2.5" LCD: Electronics & Photo

what's wrong with AAs? Cheap and available all over the place when you run out.
