    Too many online camera shops...

I'm after getting a second battery for my brothers camera for his christmas (and some SD cards). It's a Nikon camera and the battery model is EN EL3e, he said the Uniross compatible battery would do fine (model no U0139977).

The trouble is searching the net brings up shops that I've never heard of:
    www.digitalmediastore.co.uk
    www.batterymasters.co.uk
    www.mymemory.co.uk

Any recommendations from the above or should I be looking else where?

The original battery seems to be about £60, and there are other named alternatives available. I assume it's not worth taking the risk with a no-name brand and stick to Uniross?

    Cheers

    Original is £40 here:
    http://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/c-nikon-batteries.htm

There will be lots of e-shops importing goods from abroad - many of these will actually be the same outlets/importer and they'll often sell things on ebay too so worth a look. However, I prefer to stick to traditional shops like Bristol Cameras above. They also sell alternatives to the Nikon original.

7dayshop are well worth a look - they're based on the Isle of Mann so no taxes and they're very reliable in my and my friends' experience.

I ordered a compact flash card from mymemory.co.uk before without a problem. Website doesn't look the best though, I'd admit.

Guernsey, not IofM. And there are some taxes, but usually come in under the VAT limit on small items.

Re: Too many online camera shops...

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm glad some of them really exist as shops and don't just ship your credit card details to Russia...
