Canon RC1(infra red remote) fake check?

    Hi,

Just a quick bit of help needed. I bought a Canon RC1 (infra red remote) off the bay and want to know if it's a fake or not. The only reason I'm questioning wether it's fake or not is due to the batteries being dead and not Sanyo as stated in reviews. Then it got me thinking about other things..... it also came with a spare set of batteries almost as though the seller knew this might be a problem. Don't they normally put a little bit of plastic under batts when packing up?

Firstly if anyone here has an RC1 they think maybe real? does the packaging have a hologram on?

If you have original batteries in, what make are they?

I know Ebay is a mine field but I chose this seller, http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayIS...edbackAsSeller due to almost perfect feedback and not a mention of fake yadda, yadda..

    Cheers

Re: Canon RC1(infra red remote) fake check?

I'd say it's fake, but totally usable.

I've actively bought these different ebay remote things, because they usually do the exact same job, but usually half the price.

I read about them working perfectly regardless of being fake. Bloody thing seems to have stopped working now.

    I don't think it's the batts.

    Oh how I love Ebay

Re: Canon RC1(infra red remote) fake check?

Ahh damn, then yea it might be a dud, one (out of about 4) of my triggers I have received from ebay was faulty, but I just couldn't be bothered to go with the hassle to send it back.

Well just try new bats just in case.
