The D3100 is now probably the best camera for the money.
I think Pentax just wern't shifting enough at that price range, and after my jessops adventure, I can see why.
They could have probably offered free french delights and priced it at £50 with kit lens for the jessops sales person to say it's ****.

It is because idiots think that a mere badge makes a camera professional and that they are buying into a "professional" system with their £100 kit lenses. I expect a lot of them are using their kit lenses on the "full frame" camera they will never buy.
