Is this any good?, can be got for around the £90 mark (less if you want to try a tax dodge company from HK it seems).
Looking to improve my indoor shots and everyone but everyone says that inbuilt flash sucks.

the 400 isnt going to offer anything that your build-in flash cant do already
take a look at this > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YN-560EX-Y...item2a269b13e3
as a pro photographer, i'd never buy a SB-400 or use similar unless it was the last flash on earth..

Looks good Bob, thanks for the advice. I dont have paypal atm and try to avoid Ebay if i can, but will look around for that. I may have to succumb to the temptations of the bay tho.
A friend who is doing an HND course recommended Metz too, good deal more expensive tho.
Think this is the same on Amazon

Have you used a YN-560EX with your 7D Bob? I've been hankering after a new wireless TTL setup for some time but held off because I knew Yongnuo were releasing this.
my current portable flash set up is as follows
1 x YN-568EX (basically the same as the 560EX but allows HSS)
1 x Canon 580EX
1 x YN-560II (going to be ditching this by mid summer for another 568EX)
4 x YN-622C
this was using the 568EX in a softbox

Its a tad more complex than I would have thoughtI will get stuck into it over the summer holidays when I have a bit of time, learn how to use it properly. It does appear as though my camera (3100) is lacking some features in the remote deployment department.
On a side note, i took my camera to Helensburgh the other day, mainly to see how I got on with the 55-200mm lens.
shaky...
next time i take a tripod
couldn't believe how hard it was to keep it steady over a difference, was hoping for some shots of watercraft out in the estuary, it was not to be.
