Can anyone recommend a budget but decent SLR for a beginner. No more than £250

New or used?

With or without lens?

At that price, I'd strongly suggest looking for a good used model, with a decent but basic lens.

Oh, and I assume you mean DSLR? Digital?

Id always say try a Nikon D70 2nd user off ebay, just bought a reasonable one for 75 quid. Another 50 quid for a GP lens and you're off.
