Moving away from Canon

So, my 7D2 is getting on a bit, 7 years and over 600K in actuations. There's no sign of Canon releasing a replacement. So I've been looking into other Camera manufacturers. Another fot that I've shot with over the years, switched to Fuji approx. 2 years ago and I've had a go with his X-T4 and found the ergonomics and size with the battery grip fit my hand comfortably.

Now. I usually put my old camera in my bag as a backup. So by moving from Canon to Fuji, I'd be missing out on my fav lenses if I could do some testing with his X-T4. However, there are several adapters on the market that help with the transition, or if you just want to continue using the lenses you own. After much research I bit the bullet on the Finger Pro II (figured if I didn't like the results I can always sell it on).

The main concern for me is how the lenses would behave in an sports/action scenario, would they be able to keep up with the things I cover - Ballroom and Latin Dance, Horse Jumping etc. So I asked the fot if I could do some testing with his X-T4. He had a couple of hours and an energetic pup

I tested all my Sigma lenses. 10-20, 18-35, 50-100, 70-200 and all worked great.

These were taken with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 APO EX DG HSM. Although he's had the X-T4 for nearly a year, it was far from setup correctly (I was playing with settings throughout the time with the camera). I was interested in the way the camera handled auto tracking of subjects (not the usual way I shoot, but wanted put the camera and adapter though their paces).
Shooting was mechanical shutter @ 15fps

I am sort of doing the same thing but on a much slower rate,and from Nikon. I have a full Nikon FX setup with a D600 and a whole bunch of lenses,but whereas I was happy with the image quality,I wanted a lighter weight camera. So my first foray with Fuji,was an XT10. Last year I replaced it with an XT20. Only have some basic lenses ATM,but eventually see myself adding another body and some other lenses as time progresses.

I'm back from photographing 2 days of Latin and Ballroom. A mixture of not having covered a lot of dancing for the past 2 days and having the new camera, I over compensated by shooting too much! (way too much)..

My finding with the Fringer on the X-T4 with my Sigma 70-200 and 50-100 was Once locked on, it was like glue and stuck to the subject much better than my years of using a Canon 7D2 - right now I'm sorting through over 12K of images, but here's one from Saturdays kids comp.
