    Cheap Compact camera

    Hi All,

My parents came back from holiday last week where my dad managed to drop and break there digital camera. It was an old HP Photoshop somethign or other which was a bit rubbish anyway.

I'm aftert a cheap, preferable less than £100 as a replacement. Nothing fancy, just a zoom an decent picture quality and simple to use would be great and not too big. Can anyone recomend anything that fits the bill?

    Thanks,

    Mark

find out what you can buy for under £100 and then have a look at www.stevesdigicams.com and www.dpreview.com for some reviews

i'm afraid i cant be any more help as ive not really looked at these cameras before, but if i was then i'd approach it in the above way

Olympus FE-110 £90-£100 (recently been reduced to £100 by Jessops). No optical viewfinder, but extremely easy to use.
Jessops also do the Fuji Finepix A400 which is brand new for £100. I haven't seen any reviews.
Canon have a couple of cameras in that price range, including the powershot 410 (£85 from Amazon), and the powershot 430.
Kodak have Easyshare C330 (£78 Jessops online)

Bought the Olympus FE-110 as a present for my girlfriend's parents, easy enough for them to use. Just don't expect any camera at this price range to be all singing and all dancing.

there are some good canons for not much over £100 ie the powershot a520 at amazon £133 or the cheaper a410 around £90ish and the kodak dx7440 is good if you can find it usually goes under £100

might be worth checking out the canon ebay outlet as there are some good prices to be had there http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZcanonQ5fuk1
