Well after my wife and I have been taking so many nice pictures lately I thought it would be a good time to buy a better camera. I would like a compact caamera like a Panasonic FZ5 or 7 or a Canon IS 2. What would you guys suggest?

I recently bought the FZ7, and I love it to bits. Buyacamera.co.uk have it for £226.99 inc VAT in black (for some reason the silver is more expensive; I preferred black anyway). They're who I bought from, and the service was rapid, courteous staff, no problems. Paired it up with a 2GB SD card from Scan for about £30.
Cool thanks for the link but I live In Vancouver so I will have to try and find it for a good price here.

BHPhoto or Adorama ships to Canada I think, they do have reasonable prices so check them out.
Primary kit:
Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
Epson RD-1
Film Kit:
Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

I definately reccomend the FZ7, very nice to hold, and has a nice simple menu etc.
yep, another happy FZ7 owner here, but since you want a compact check it out in person first as its not that small.
