Maximum Scerw Mounting Depth on CX750M

I am making a custom case and have cut the opening for the PSU with screw tabs for mounting. I have a CX750M PSU but the screws that came with it are far to short. I have the right type of screw (6-32 UNC) but after passing through the wall of the case there is 15mm left over. is this OK to pass in to a casing of the PSU I do not want to hit anything in side. Can not open the PSU to check as the is a warranty seal over one of the screw holes.

The standard screw has approx 5mm left after the case wall, I would reduce the 15mm down just to be safe.

Thread on a nut past where you are cutting, cut with a hacksaw, file the end so its snag free then undo the nut down past the cut to clear any burrs in the thread.

Yes, standard practise for cutting down a screw, trouble is I have no UNC nuts XD lol Metric, AF and imperial is well stocked, time to hit ebay.

Took the easy way out and ordered some 6-32 X 5/8 should give me a max of 5.5mm entry in to the PSU so clearance in side should be fine.

Now all I need is a right angled C13 (kettle lead)
