At the weekend I installed a new CS750M PSU.

Since then I have noticed that it is quite a bit louder than my old CX600 PSU. Even when idle the fan can still be heard.

I am also a bit concerned about the amount of heat that seems to be coming from where the PSU is situated.This is particularly worrying after playing BF4 for an hour or so (which is perhaps to be expected) but it also appears to be getting hot while idle. As with the noise, the heat seems to be a lot worse than it was with my old CX600 PSU.

Is my PSU faulty or is the increase in fan noise and heat to be expected?
