AX760i won't power on, only clicks

AX760i, fresh pc, first time powering it on and it clicks, as you can hear the solenoid clicking on and off once every ~2 seconds. I unplug everything on the PSU, and then try the self-test, and it only clicks, no light or motion other than the light "ping" when I first push it. Hoping to avoid a RMA because it would basically give me another two weeks without a computer as the PSU gets returned for another.

More details please. Make and power of PSU, and the rest of the system.

When you say self test, on what device? What is actually connected to the PSU? Where is the clicking coming from, PSU or hard drive?

Just found this thread on the Corsair forums. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?p=663139

Is that you, or someone else with a similar issue?

When you do the self test, make sure that you hold self test button down till you see the green light turn on. The fan should run as well while performing the self test.

btw, when you flip the switch on the back of the PSU, is there any LED on the board that is lit? some sort of indication that it is getting power?
