    Time-machine hasn't been invented yet so assuming that by FM3 you meant AM3, then yes in general an AM3 CPU should work fine on an AM3+ board since AM3+ is backwards compatible but you really should look at the specific board's manual / webpage.

    Isn't FM3 going to be used for Kaveri APU? A quick Google and there's loads of "FM3" APUs
