Question iTunes Account - "This Computer is already associated with an Apple ID"

    Dear all,
I have a Mac Mini with two login accounts - one for me and one for my girlfriend. When I setup my girlfriend's user account, I added her iTunes account details and downloaded her music. Upon setting up my login account and adding my iTunes account details, when trying to download my purchased music, I was treated to the "This Computer is already associated with an Apple ID" error.

Researching this, it looks like you can only associate a machine with a single iTunes ID. This begs the questions as to how I will get my legitimately purchased music onto this machine.

    Anyone have experience with this?

    Yours hopefully,
    Leon

Carvedeye - we already have two login accounts and two iTunes accounts.

The issue is that a single computer can only be associated to a single iTunes account.

I can almost certainly tell you what Apples answer is - "you need to buy another Mac Mini".

i run exactly your description on my macbook with our lass and myself, are you sure your itunes isn't a very old version? i.e. might this be a restriction removed in newer versions?

edit > this apple article shows you how to get round this without using multiple accounts.

personally i think they've missed a trick. im going to have to check our ipods tonight and make sure they both still sync.
