Re: New Work Laptop - Thinkpad Yoga... awful!

The case I got for it as terrible. I've now gone through 2 of them - keep snapping when I taking it off to clean (don't even get me started on the finger prints!)

    Big problems with OSx:

Multitasking - seems very old fashion. It's slow (even with the gestures) and the window maximising, minimising and screen snapping (well the lack of it) is terrible.
Keyboard - There's no key travel and compared to Lenovo keyboards (and even dell) it feels years behind. Even on my HP it was miles better.
Heat - mine gets hot and loud very quickly, even after surfing Soundcloud for 10 minutes and battery life drops to 2-3 hours compared to 8 I'd normally get web browsing.

I actually really like the charger. You would not believe how many laptops I've broken where the charger has tugged the connector on the laptop and broken it. In fact, I've done so with every laptop apart from this one. Full marks where I'm concerned and I've had no problems with mine (although admittedly it does appear very flimsy).

Screen is exceptional, however some apps don't scale at all and look pixelated, such as steam. Office gives the same results. Shame really, but it was a lot worse using windows 8.1!

    For multitasking check out Flexiglass

I recently got the Mathias Tactile pro keyboard to use on my desk and its very very nice for typing but it uses Alps switches so its incredibly noisy!

I've had a look, but don't want to be spending extra money on something that was already expensive really

That keyboard looks rather damn expensive, and after being thoroughly disappointed with the mechanical keyboard I bought when everyone raves about them I can't warrant spending that sort of money on one again.
