A WC pump would only pull 20W or so on the 12v rail, insignificant compared to GPU/CPU.

Although it would be probably in the worst part of its efficiency range for a lot of things.

    Here is a review:

sorry to keep asking questions i understand this isn't a help line but i thank you for your time.
by "in the worst part of its efficiency range" what do you mean. the review you linked to says "it can be recommended to users who are planning a high-end build and want a dependable supply to power the system". so would it struggle to supply power under heavy load or what?
    thanks again.

When the PSU is not under much load,ie, when surfing the web or word processing, the bigger PSUs tend to be less efficient than a smaller one, although it is not a hard and fast rule though!

thankyou both for the explanation. so would you choose a 750w over an 850w because of this as i'm only powering the one GPU at the moment. but would the 750w be enough for 2 GPUs if i so desired

Not sure why I missed that response, sorry. 750W should be fine even for SLI, but of course it depends on the card - current single-GPU cards should be fine, but not necessarily older/newer cards or multi-GPU cards.

just spotted your reply thanks for the advice. however i have decided that im going to stick with the one gpu and just upgrade it when it cant handle the games. i have bought the seasonic 650w x-650 psu.

    Very good choice.

Not the cheapest but very well made, rock solid PSU.

Re: CorsairCX600 v2 psu any good?

Hi guy's. Coming from another forum to join you

I wouldnt choose that cx600. Reading some info about the int (review's even if not full or specific) its not a good PSU.

I was in this W range and ended up getting TX 750 V1 for 80$. Its just a beast and its powering my rig with 560 Ti SLI both oc to 985Mhz.

So i would suggest the XFX or Seasonic and Corsair. Just dont go cheap on it.

So the gtx 670 consumes 180W n some OC and IF u SLI them they get around 330W.So going with a 650W will get do the job.

XFX Core Pro 650W (i cant post links srry) Or Seasonic M12II 620W both at 70 mark

    Good Luck!

I've got that one its quiet and it looks cool in my case but my system doesn't need 600w and wish I had gone for a lower wattage one
