    Iraq owns no oil

    http://a257.g.akamaitech.net/7/257/2...f/03-13412.pdf

Presidential Executive Order 13303, which states:

Section 1. Unless licensed or otherwise authorized pursuant to this order,
any attachment, judgment, decree, lien, execution, garnishment, or other
judicial process is prohibited, and shall be deemed null and void, with
    respect to the following:
    (a) the Development Fund for Iraq, and
    (b) all Iraqi petroleum and petroleum products, and interests therein,
and proceeds, obligations, or any financial instruments of any nature whatsoever
arising from or related to the sale or marketing thereof, and interests
therein, in which any foreign country or a national thereof has any interest,
that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States,
or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of United
    States persons
Translated, it says that all Iraqi pretroleum products, reserves, inetersts, anything at all related to oil, count as being on United States land and are under the control of the United States or US-licensed businesses.

Iraq no longer has any oil reserves to call their own.

Oh, and on April 1st, Bush signed in a paper, which "makes it a crime to harm a fetus during an assault on a pregnant woman." (i.e. makes abortion illegal)

Probably just a misprint because obviously oil had nothing to do with the war....

With regards to the other, what I can only describe as the 'religious fanatacism' of America is getting a wee bit scary.

well, some nice topics there hex, Im watching channel 4 news atm and it really looks like things are going tits up big time in Iraq and with the americans doing things like that (somthing they said they wouldnt do and they have done anyway) I cant see things cooling down any time soon. Oil is going to become an even more desired comodity as it runs out and america as we all know needs loads of it every year it is obvious that they are going to do anything that ensures their supply. when the whole war in iraq started a lot of suspisons were rasied about the americans going to war for oil, I thought that it was as likely a reason as any simply because I never bought the whole "WMD" rubbish or the "free the iraq people" carp that came later. In all honesty im just not surpised.

Also, Im not surprised that bush has made abortion illegal, he seems to think that freedom is actually people having the choice to do what he says or face jail/JDAM bomb depending on where you live. He is an egotist, its obvious.

Also, any1 see condelesa rice's grilling in the 9/11 hearing? she is actually a muppet isnt she?

oh dear this is one of the best things i've read for AGES

    http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/08/in...rtner=AL.QAEDA

the iraqui people are completely disregarding their hatred for the different factions, sunni & shiite are working hand in hand, side by side, to claim back their country from the Halliburton occupation forces. nicely done, USA, you've united iraq - and nobody had to give up their oil to foreign powers for it!

shame 2 journos & an aid worker are gonna get immolated for the privilege tho

Only saw a bit of it, with the "fly swatting" but the guy doing the grilling was taking her apart it looked it.....apparently Bush phoned her afterwards and congratulated her.....

    no WMD eh,

so what did saddam use on the kurds aprox 13 years ago....the pics of woman and kids in the street gassed, whole villages killed, then the army sent in and they were just dumped in mass graves ?????

do we really think he thought, oh i will dismantle these and destroy them ?????

    or

do we think they are either :

a: buried deep in the desert
    b. put on a train to syria and stored in syria (this seems the most likely imho)

its easy to judge now that we havent found any WMD, BUT he did have them, and he used them on his own people, and they are still somewhere

the Money from the Oil in Iraq, will be used to rebuild the country, look at other countrys, Dubia for instance, had nothing till it started to sell oil

yes sure the USA will skim the money, and some of the profits, BUT it will also rebuild Iraq

Did we hear about a deal in place that the french would get the oil if and when sanctions were lifted on Iraq...this is no different imho

the weapons of mass destruction the USA gave for free to kill iranians?

and an iraqi-french company buying oil is different from a government declaration of "all your oil are belong to us, kkthxbye"

No it doesn't, since a legal abortion is not an assault; in fact it makes (probably) very little difference in practice, since harming a foetus during an assault would have been an aggravating factor as regards sentencing. It is disturbing in that it appears to lay the groundwork for giving a foetus legal personality independent of the woman carrying it, but it does not in itself make abortion illegal.

it's a precursor, and certainly a coincidence when the bush administration was wanting to completely outlaw abortion. somewhere on the agenda next to changing the constitution to ban gay rights.
