Well, is it?
Well, is it?
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
Could be a lot worse
Well as I wasn't married at 12, working all day in the fields farming oh wait, that is too modern.
As I awoke from my slumber under the stars, looking at caves and wondering if there was any way I could live in them, but they are too dark and cold, I start my foraging again, hopefully I'll not sucumb to the malnutrition.

Anti-Biotics. Just saying.
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
Are we talking values or technology here? Or are the two interlinked?
Tbh i cant choose yes or no?......wouldnt fancy living in olding days as you had to graft like mad just to survive....then theres modern times....everyones just trying to **** eveyone over and dont give a toss about anyone but themselves...then theres the corruption side of things that goes to the very top......so for those reasons i'm out.

Certainly not. It's not perfect but it's better than even 10 years ago, despite what moaners may say.

It's obviously very subjective, according to an individual's circumstances. 30 years ago I was optimistic and full of life; now, I'm... not
So everything looks a lot bleaker to me personally but OTOH I can see how other people have prospered and flourished...

I voted that modern life isn't rubbish. Lots of opportunities nowadays to travel to the far side of the world for very little cash, technology is doing quite amazing stuff, still some great music and television round despite the near death of the big labels / probs with piracy. For me, martial arts as a sport is now possible / legal and your average Joe like moi can afford a passable car.
The big downsides are a safety-first, invasive big nanny state culture smothering individuals. And the worst is that the world is disgustingly overpopulated due to selfish people deciding that their 'right' to breed trumps everything.
Modern life is great:
We(1) have more wealth(2), health(3) and free time to use it than ever before in recent history.
(1) we, in the western world
(2) no one dies of starvation due to lack of money
(3) no major plagues or mass diseases since antibiotics
i'll take 6-700 yrs ago life was so much simpler ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true

If we have more health in terms of people living longer from fatal diseases , but that doesn't mean they are living healthier too - in fact the opposite -we are living longer but with more problems instead.
If Id be born in 17th century id still have the same options for the issues Id have now, so while some think medicine has evolved I do not - nor do I think it ever will as long as its focus is on money instead of health CARE .
No , but I have read many accounts of people struggling with the same issues as me due to lack of diagnosis ,that started developing these problems at the same age I was when they began ( 16 ), and other problems like Neuropathy that can develop regardless of age.
So as far as Im concerned age has nothing to do with it .
Of course its about me, why else are you here in the first place ?It's not about you.
