    RVF on race hate magazine

I've just seen the cover of a race hate magazine on the sky news website called Stormer. There is a logo of and the letters RVF.

I'd like to point out that I have no idea what RVF stands for in this case and that the handle of RVF500 that I go by on here is in fact the designation of an old GP motorcycle and has nothing whatsoever to do with racial hatred or prejudice.

Yes, but was there ever an RVF500? The F1 developements of the RC30 became known as the RVF750, and metamorphosed into the RC45 which was (I believe) officially called the RVF750F. There's the RVF400 (NC35) too of course. However, the only four stroke GP bike they built between 1967 and 2001 was called the NR500.

Seriously though, bad luck on having your handle appropriated by nazis, but I don't think you need have worried too much, nobody here would take you for a hate-monger.

I did some research having a sneaking feeling I'd screwed something up. There is indeed an RVF500 and it ran under Rothmans Honda colours.......only it has 4 wheels and not 2 (DOH!!!) anyway. I've laboured on under this delusion up to now so I shall soldier on regardless . I've ridden an RVF400, good fun but a cast iron bitch to derestrict. And there was the NSR500 GP bike. So I got my designations mixed up. There is also the RGV500 that was raced by my all time hero Kevin Schwantz. Which is what I was thinking of when I plumped for the name long before I came to Hexus. What I should have done is checked it out.....but you know how it is when you are searching for a handle....anyway. I'm too damn old to change

Anyone who has crossed words with me on here should know me well enough by now....blunt, opinionated, argumentative, politically slightly to the right of that pussy Ghengis Khan ......but I thought I'd head off those that didn't at the pass. I'm seriously p*ssed to see RVF on the front of that magazine....makes RVF500 look like something similar to Combat 18 or some other similar organisation.

The RVF400 pulls like a mad thing up to just over a ton then the restriction cuts in. One of the few bikes I've actually gone 'knee down' on the roads on. I tend to restrict that kind of behaviour to track days. The only reason I didn't buy it as a track tool, which is why I was test riding it, was because the restriction is electronic and Honda have done it in such a way as to bypass it can actually cause a drop in performance. I think it's done on the ignition but don't quote me. But it handles beautifully. I took it through a set of tight twisties and was faster through there than on my Aprilia RSV Mille. Just kept it pinned and flicked it from side to side. As much fun as you can possibly have with your clothes on
