Why isn't this murder ? Is manslaughter the new PC term for bumping someone off then ?

Is the distinction based on whether they intended to kill her or not.
Because their mate killed her? Also, murder has to be premeditated, they just felt like stealing off their gran.
Be consoled by the fact however that all 3 probably have a combined weight of a cat and will last about 3 minutes in prison once they find out what they did.
That should wipe the smiles of their faces.
and put one on ours
Murder doesnt have to be premeditated, murder is commtted when there is an intention to kill or a wilful act so reckless as to show the person who committed it was utterly regardless of the consequences. that prity much is the definition of it.
Manslaughter or Culpable Homicide in Scotland is where the circumstances dont amount to murder
How stupid can they actually be?? They told someone (i.e. their mother) that they were going over to the old woman's house, and the friend had been living there for all of 24 hours. Doesn't sound like getting away with it was something they'd even thought about. Hope they're forced to spend a long time in the prison communal showers, getting to know their new house-mates.
