Well cabling is a little worse that the pictures show as the hard drive cage isn't so well thought out - if you keep the fan in front (which I did) the hard drives protrude into the case quite a bit, and getting cables into the angled sata connectors on the motherboard is also tricky with hard drives in place!

She loves the door - it looks good and cuts the noise. It's self-shutting due to gravity but is light enough that you can open it with the dvd tray.

Final pic showing slightly worse cabling!

Anand used the stock low profile air cooler (see the picture on that page) and still managed to overclock the processor to 4.4ghz (from a normal non-turbo speed of 3.3ghz).

    Re: The wife's build

It could, but I wouldn't recommend it as the hard drives would be right against it. If you took out the front fan there would be more room, but I'd go for a different case with side mounted hard drives or better still configurable drive layouts like the Coolermaster HAF912 etc.

    or just sell the videocard..

I suppose if i managed to win the bid at a good price it would still be more than worth it, or is that problem with midsize i.e. none take 12 " ?

    Re: The wife's build

Anyway, this is my new computer and I loves it. Amazingly quiet (quieter than 'the husband''s rig) and so far runs all my games fantastically (haven't yet booted up TW2 - need to get through another run-through of TW1 first!) and on full detail. Only disappointment so far is that TES 4 DLC doesn't seem to work on 64-bit, which is a bit annoying, but I'll live with that. Yay!

Strange... guessing that's the retail version rather than Steam?

    Re: The wife's build

Oblivion is the retail version and the DLCs were a direct download from BethSoft (or whatever their online store is called). Apparently from trawling t'Internet, the direct DLC is not compatible with 64-bit (if I'd bought the retail DVD DLC collection it would have been compatible it seems).

Allegedly, should be possible to get a refund and then buy the retail version which is compatible, but to be honest for a 5-year old game I'm not sure it's worth doing - it's not like I play it that regularly these days

I wouldnt bother , Im pretty sure I read something about it being included with the new Oblivion coming out - though I must admit Im not really an Oblivion fan myself.

Aside from Guild wars 2 , the game Im really looking forward to playing is the new Alice - as the first was probably one - if not - my favourite games of all time.

I also like the look of the new BioShock a lot too and Paper Maro on the 3DS.

Yup, just no point getting to GOTY if you bought the DLC separately.. except if the DLC doesn't work and you're desperate to play it

Oh yeah, but there's definitely no need to buy the special edition that's coming out soon.
